Start With What You Own
Make a simple inventory of the domain, brand, content, artwork, photos, email list, customer records, social profiles, store accounts, products, and supplier relationships. Mark each item as owned, licensed, shared, or unable to transfer.
Gather Records a Buyer Can Check
A buyer needs records that support the story. Keep the source exports when possible so the dates, totals, and account names are clear.
- Traffic and search records that show where visits come from and which pages earn them.
- Payment records matched with refunds, platform fees, production, ads, software, contractors, and owner labor.
- Audience records that show activity, consent, and any rule that limits a transfer.
- Contracts and licenses for artists, photographers, writers, products, platforms, and suppliers.
Separate the Site From You
Write down what you do in a normal week and which results depend on your name, relationships, skills, or personal accounts. A buyer can plan a handoff only when that hidden work is visible.
Fix the Transfer Gaps
Resolve missing access, unclear rights, old contracts, personal billing, broken reports, and undocumented work before a serious discussion. If a gap cannot be fixed, name it clearly and explain what a buyer would need to replace.
